Deep Dish Pizza
Pizza Dough
1 pkg active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp oil
3/4 cup cold water
3 3/4 cups all purpose flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water and sugar mixture. Allow yeast to rise to double in size. Add yeast mixture to remaining ingredients. Let rise for 1/2 hour.
1 lb hamburger meat
2 tbsp Schneider's Herb & Garlic seasoning
1 14 oz can whole tomatoes, drained
1 tbsp chopped minced onion
2 tbsp Schneider's Hot Nacho seasoning
1 tbsp Schneider's Pizza seasoning
1 tsp oregano
1 small green pepper, sliced in strips
1 10 oz can mushrooms, drained
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp Schneider's Monterey Jack seasoning
In a skillet, combine hamburger meat and Schneider's Herb & Garlic seasoning. Brown, drain. Mix tomatoes, onion, oregano, Schneider's Hot Nacho and Schneider's Pizza seasoning; break up tomatoes with fork. Press dough evenly on bottom and sides of greased 10" x 12" or 9" x 13" baking dish. Sprinkle hamburger over dough. Spoon sauce over hamburger; top with green pepper and mushrooms. Sprinkle pizza with Schneider's Monterey Jack seasoning. Top with mozzarella cheese. Cook at 425 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned.
