Description
Kaktus Potato Strings are made from potato, wheat and corn flour. They are small hard pellets that resemble pasta but when cooked become a light and crunchy snack. Kaktus Potato Strings take 24-30 seconds to make using our Schneider’s Theatre II Snack Maker. These chips are a unique snack that when placed in hot oil in a Schneider’s Theatre II Snack Maker, they will expand up to four times its original size. After cooking, drain the oil, transfer to a bowl, and let cool. Add 2 tsp of Schneider’s seasoning. Toss and enjoy.
(Kaktus Chips can also be made in an air popper, microwave, baked in the oven or deep fryer. Instructions for these methods are included in each bag.)

My favourite of all the Kaktus chips for texture and flavour. Easy to make but took me a little bit of trial and error at first to get it perfect. Tip: if you are unsure if the oil is at the correct temperature – put one in the pot to test first. If it gets wrinkly and doesn’t puff well, the oil is too hot.
